A College Degree Should be a Pathway to Something Better

A college degree has always been to be the best way to improve your life, but for many people, that opportunity is just out of reach—for all the wrong reasons. We believe college can still have that same life-changing impact, but to do so, the classes and the costs must adapt to meet the needs of today’s students. We believe the best way to guarantee that more Americans achieve true economic independence is to reinvent the college experience so it’s open to everyone.

So We Created a New Kind of College Experience

Along with our accredited university partners, we’ve reimagined a new kind of college for the people who need it most, with a set of foundational principles that change the way college is done. We believe…

College—when done right—can open up a world of opportunity.

Colleges should meet the needs of students—not the other way around.

College shouldn’t be a risky investment.

Students shouldn’t have to put their lives on hold to earn a degree.

Students deserve all the support they need to be successful.

College should be relevant to students’ career goals.

Colleges should be rooted in the communities they serve.

College should dismantle inequity, not reinforce it.

A College Experience Built Around the Needs of Students

Guided by these core values, PSC organizations and their university partners are creating a better way to get a degree. Rather than expecting students to build their lives around college, we’ve built college around them—with flexible classes, personalized support, and plenty of coaching. Our new approach is already working for students from every background, whether they tried college and decided to leave, or never truly believed they were “college material.”

A College That Fulfills the Promise of College

Although PSC organizations are a relatively new idea, our students are already proving that when you remove unnecessary barriers, students excel. Which means more people can pursue meaningful careers, contribute to stronger communities, and pave the way for their own children to follow in their footsteps.
